United Airlines

United Airlines was initiated on April 6, 1926 where it operates on more than 4,500 flights a day which is for 339 airports and it is across 5 continents. United Airlines boasts itself to be the most comprehensive route network globally where it includes U.S mainland hubs in Denver, Chicago, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C and San Francisco. The airline is the founding member of Star Alliance where it offers its services to 192 countries which are through 28 member airlines. In 2010, it had merged with Continental Airlines where it had kept the United Airlines name. There are more than 80,000 United Airline employees who reside in every U.S state and are in many countries all over the globe.

Onboard amenities

United Airlines has many in-flight amenities like in-flight entertainment options like:

  • In-flight magazine: United Airlines free inflight magazine in Hemispheres that features travel, sports, fitness, entertainment, educational stories and business. For the customer of United’s premium-cabin customers and visitors of United Club locations and United Global First lounges, there is Rhapsody, which is a free monthly magazine.
  • Seat-back on-demand: Seat-back screens which are vehemently equipped with 100 television channels and movies through DIRECTV is said to be a free service on the selected flights.
  • Personal device entertainment: On the passengers own laptop or Android or Apple devices, there is free service that is on select flights which give passengers access to many television shows and movies.
  • Inflight Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi facility is available for a fee on selected flights, which can vary. On the selected flights, the passengers can also use MileagePlus miles in order to purchase the Wi-Fi.

In-flight Dining

For The Trotter Project, United is said to be the official airline and it is a non-profit organization which was founded after the death of the celebrated Chef Charlie Trotter where there is a commitment to mentor and inspire a brand new generation of culinary minds. It is with the collaboration with Charlie Trotter-affiliated chefs that it is all about reimagining United’s pristine in-flight dining experience. The passengers can enjoy the cuisines of United Airlines where it depends on the flight and is of various food programs that are either for complimentary or for purchase.

  • United Economy Dining: The dining options which are available for the economy class passengers are based on the location and length of the flight. It ranges from complimentary snack and beverage service and also has a complimentary three-course meal service.
  • Premium Economy Dining- International: The passengers who are travelling from United Polaris first class and also United Polaris business class, which is on long-haul international flights are served with fine dining fare that is inclusive of five or six-course of welcome dining service, arrival dining service and mid-flight snacks.
  • Premium Economy Dining – North America: The premium economy customers on the United Express and mainline United flights are said to be treated with many options which are based on the location and length of the flight.
